  • pedal cycles used for trade or profession
  • theft of money or credit cards where the correct reporting procedures are not followed

To ensure your customer's belongings are insured correctly you should use our guidance notes for specified items.

If your customer is considering personal belongings to insure hand held gadgets away from the home you should consider our gadget cover as an alternative.  If you take this separate cover and your customer needs to make a claim for a gadget, the no claims discount on home insurance would be unaffected.

The maximum amount of personal belongings cover is £10,000. If the customer requires more cover we can arrange for Sterling to provide an individual quotation, for more information click here
