This buildings and contents policy for landlords is designed to protect your property and/or contents if they are lost or damaged by certain events including:

• fire, smoke, explosion, lightning or earthquake
• storm, flood or weight of snow
• escape of water or oil
• theft or attempted theft
• collision by vehicles, animals or aircraft
• falling trees, branches, telegraph poles or lamp posts
• riot, violent disorder, malicious damage or vandalism; and
• subsidence

The policy also includes cover for loss of rent if the property is left uninhabitable because of any insured risk, including the cost of re-housing your existing tenants.
