This buildings and contents policy for landlords is designed to protect your property and/or contents if they are lost or damaged by certain events including:
fire, smoke, explosion, lightning or earthquake
storm, hail or weight of snow
flood
escape of water or oil
theft or attempted theft
collision by vehicles, animals or aircraft
falling trees, branches, telegraph poles or lamp posts
riot, violent disorder, malicious damage or vandalism; and
subsidence
The policy also includes cover for loss of rent if the property is left uninhabitable because of any insured risk, including the cost of re-housing your existing tenants.
