You can extend your buildings and/or contents insurance to cover legal costs and expenses (up to £50,000) for the following events:
disputes over selling or buying goods and services
disputes over physical damage to your property
claims relating to your personal injury or death
claims involving an industrial tribunal arising from your contract of employment
The policy also provides cover for tax protection, jury service, legal defence and for pursuing disputes over schools admissions.
The policy also includes protection to defend claims and assist you if you are subject to an identity theft.
