Transferring your cover from another provider
You can transfer your payment protection cover from another provider to 3XD with guaranteed continuity of cover providing that: - you meet the normal entry requirements of the policy
- you have held the previous policy for at least six months
- you have not made a claim under the previous policy
Any existing mortgage borrowers are normally subject to an initial exclusion period but this is waived if you are transferring cover. The initial exclusion period is waived on the terms of your existing policy. For example, if you take the opportunity to increase your cover, we would only pay a claim which occurs during the exclusion period for the amount originally insured. The initial exclusion period does not apply to new mortgage borrowers. You should not consider transferring any payment protection insurance if you have developed any medical conditions whilst the previous policy was in force. You should not consider transferring any payment protection insurance if you have been made aware of any threat to your job security.
