Making a claim

If you need to make a claim, the helpline number will be located on your policy schedule. If you are unable to locate this, please call our Customer Service team quoting your policy number and we will be able to assist you.

Home Insurance:

If there has been malicious damage to your home, theft, attempted theft or lost items you must inform the police and obtain an incident number straight away.

If you need to make emergency repairs to prevent further damage, please take photographs before the work begins and retain any damaged items. Do not destroy any damaged items without our consent.

Home insurance claims lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with emergency assistance provided 24 hours a day for new claims. Please be aware that the out of hours team cannot access existing policy or claim records and can only help if there is an immediate danger to you or your family.

Home Emergency:

If you have a home insurance policy that has been extended to include home emergency cover, this may assist with the arrangement and cost of a repair if you suffer a home emergency. 

In the event of a major emergency which could result in serious risk to you, or substantial damage to your home, you should immediately contact the emergency services and the company that supplied you with the service.

The number to call is 0800 917 1644. The lines are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Legal Expenses / Rent Guarantee:

If you have a home insurance or landlords policy that has been extended to include legal expenses or rent guarantee cover, you have access to a 24 hour advisory helpline for advice on any private legal problem or concern. Further support is available if the matter escalates and you need to claim the cost of further professional legal services.
